Keep in mind that you may get different results if you ask that the degree to be evaluated for its academic credits, or if you want to apply to some other college than EC and that college uses a different foreign credit evaluator.
Does this mean that the ENEB degree is a great option for people who want to attend EC? Maybe. But only if that evaluation is consistent for academic-focused credit evaluations and they offer course equivalencies that are useful for a degree at EC.
Personally, I would expect most foreign credit evaluators to come back saying that this isn't equivalent to a US degree, but some of the courses that make up the degree may potentially be transferable.
Clarification: the evaluation comes from Education Credentials Evaluators, Inc., not Excelsior College. EC does work with ECE; I know because this is what they directed my wife to do when she did a second Bachelor's. I haven't heard of ECE being significantly more flexible than other NACES members; it's a well-established company.
I didn't intend to suggest anything different. I thought I was clear that it was an evaluation for Excelsior College (EC) not one by EC. When I spoke about flexibility, I was talking about EC being flexible in how they recognize credits/degrees based on the ECE evaluation. I didn't really mention Education Credit Evaluators (ECE) at all. The closeness in initials can be confusing though.
In any case, my point was that if you get the same eval done for a different intention (this one was specifically for employment purposes rather than for an academic evaluation) or from a different company you may get different results. So people shouldn't go out to get this degree just because of this isolated evaluation. Wait for more results before investing the time or money into this degree.
Personally, I'd like to see an academic evaluation for the purpose of a graduate degree (and/or graduate credits) from more than one foreign degree evaluator before I'd consider doing an ENEB degree. Then again, my sole reason for wanting to do so would be to meet entrance requirements or use as credits towards earning an RA graduate degree. As a foreign credential, the ENEB degrees probably won't offer much value on a resume by themselves. At least not here in the US.
