I would think that Sophia's Intro to IT course should work as a computer literacy course. It wouldn't hurt to (also) do the free TEEX courses since they are, well, free.

I'm not asking for me. I'm asking for a friend and I don't think they want to do more work than is necessary. Do you know if any dsst would work?

Honestly, a DSST is going to be much more work than Sophia. If you're even halfway computer literate, you can finish it really quickly. A DSST, if you can even find an open center, takes time to make the appointment, to study, to go to the center, to take the test, to come home, etc. Much more work.
