Yeah, I hope so, my first concern is
1. If they fit you into classes based on your "degree path," then we might end up only being able to take low-level useless things instead of real stuff. Or there were a few UL classes I was considering that I probably won't be allowed to take, since I do not have the Principles of Economics credit complete. But it's true, they will be okay. There are other UL courses there I can take based on having other courses transfer in.
I wonder about Goldilocks' experience, though. I saw earlier while looking through that they will put you in remedial courses for math and english, I think, if you cannot prove that you had experience with them at the college level somehow, or something like that. If no one else gets to it first, I will go back when I have more time later to look into the exact details of that.
On that note, Goldi, if you have any way to prove those things, say other ACE credit, you might be able to get out of them. Even if not, I did see they mentioned a deferment for your first term on at least one of those requirements (math?).

Or is it just a select few? I can't find information about this. Nevermind. I hadn't scrolled all the way down to the bottom of the generic exam info page. I was actually trying to read the catalog. Silly me!

You found it right before I got back to it, Rachel  Smile

On the Sophia thing, that would be a big benefit, except that at the top they say "A $100 fee per course will be charged to release information to other institutions." I will try to dig into this more when I get the chance, but I suspect they will have a pretty solid way of ensuring that, considering that they are owned by the same company as Sophia, and they will likely cooperate to ensure nothing gets to ACE, only Strayer. But we will see  Smile
I did send them transcripts of my previous college work, including math, English, etc., but they still say they require you to take their courses. It may depend on which coach and Dean you get though as to whether or not they'll let you defer this term. They also have an auto-enroll feature where they will just automatically enroll you in courses for the next term. Be sure you don't check that box during the enrollment if you aren't sure about taking a second term!

Once you are accepted, you can see all of the course guides which is basically the syllabus for each class. I realized you could see the courses without enrolling, but I think I was talking more about a class schedule. It seems like maybe the courses are all offered all the time (?). Not sure.

The bookstore is easy to use. It already has our free term spending limit loaded and the leads you to exactly what materials are needed for your courses. Laptops begin shipping next week.
