If you're up against the limit, I would recommend using as many ACE credits for your AOS as you can - especially if cost is an issue. I know the conventional wisdom here seems to be to use ACE for the gen eds, but with this new limit, more RAs are going to have to be taken, so people need to start being smarter about where they use up their ACE credits.
Gen Eds can be gotten fairly cheaply at many Community Colleges, whereas the Upper Level courses are generally only at universities with much higher per credit cost. So if you can use a Study.com UL course for your AOS - do!
Principles in Macroeconomics and US History courses are offered in almost every community college in the country, but something like Systems Analysis and Design, or Historiography are far harder to find - SDC's $90 is much better than a university charging $300 per credit hour.
