If it helps, most Sophia courses have both audio and video. If your daughter is very small, one thing you could try would be something like putting on the video/audio and to say something like "mommy needs to listen for the word airplane; tell mommy if you hear the word airplane" or something similar. Turn her being quiet into a game. Use an uncommon word that isn't likely to come up. Every so often, throw in a word and give her a cookie or whatever you use to reward her.

And, hey, maybe if she listens with you then she'll be able to get her bachelors degree before she's out of grade school, haha.

Haha!! You know what, I'll just have to try that   I'll just have to wait and see how long it'll take before she realizes that there's no 'airplane' in the lesson
