One 19yr old WGU graduate is living proof we’re in a new era of higher education

Thanks for sharing the link to the blog post. If this is true, that is wonderful he was able to score an entry level cyber job. San Antonio has a nice cyber market. But, it does not have the opportunities a big city has like Austin. Nothing this young man has done is unique. It is very common. CUNY has a program where public HS students can earn a CUNY degree by the time they graduate. University of Texas, Austin has a high school on campus.
I can see how you can think that WGU IT programs are strong. I will definitely say WGU IT programs may be the most valuable within WGU. They allow their graduates to earn certifications needed to earn an entry level IT positions. However, WGU has a long way to go to compete on the level of other online degree programs, such as, University of Arizona, NYU SPS, CUNY SPS, FIU, etc.. They have develop partnerships with various organizations to pipeline their students into opportunities. Also, as I stated in another post, WGU needs to hire academic professionals for their mentorship and proctoring services. Until they implement some changes, WGU will be struggling among the rest.
Oh, goodness. San Antonio is far more populous than Austin. Even the San Antonio metro is more populous than the Austin metro. These posts are bizarre. You're not even taking time to look up basic information.
Sincerely,
Someone with a master's degree from a Top 30 university
