Ok, so I just got my first final back that wasn't all fours. I had two 4s and two 3s. So the way I WOULD have calculated that was 14/4 which would be 3.5. But looking at the grading in the original post it would be 14/16, which is an 87.5 or 3.3. That will make a difference in whether or not I get summa cum laude. It puts me at a 3.9 ONLY if I get a 4 on this next final if it its 3.3. (I have 11 classes, 9 with a 4.0, this one with the 3s, and then my last one I am submitting tomorrow.). If I get even a 3.5 on this one, it will be 3.89 which knocks me out of SCL. And the thing is, I don't understand. I was praised throughout the milestone and made the changes in the draft I was asked to make. I was SO SET on a 4.0 and now that is gone. But I will be devastated after all the time and effort I have put in if I don't get summa cum laude. I know it's doesn't affect the degree, but it affects ME. And I wore a gold cord in my grad photo because I was so certain I'd get it.
