I hadn't heard of Validential before this, but a little research shows that they have some good University and state acceptance history. That may not seem like much, but most non-NACES and non-AICE members claim to have that but provide zero proof and searching it up usually shows no results. Depending on where you live and what school you're going to, this might be your first stop for this type of degree program. But in general, a NACES member evaluator is your best bet from an acceptance standpoint.
All of that being said, there are quite a few evaluators outside NACES and many of them have been around a long time. To do that, they have to be providing a product that's working for more people than not, and I've read a few times how people have submitted evals from lesser-known evaluators before being asked upon application and getting through that way. There are plenty schools that may be more rigid, but you never know until you're in a position to try.
