So if play out the renegotiation option, Elon might say, well darn the stock's at $35, I'll buy it now for $42.00/$44.20 (Note the 420 references)
I had thought had he tried to walk away, the break-up fee was $1 billion. Apparently, though the judge could order Elon to buy Twitter at $54.20 a share if Twitter pushes for a court battle which is the direction they are going.
Tesla's stock is down, and he pissed off a lot of people by getting all political.
So what's the point of all this if he doesn't buy Twitter?
Twitter's stock price is now 47% below the purchase price. I wonder what would be the betting odds he still buys it?
