The only advantage I see to the butt-in-seat thing is being able to socialize and network. That's not really learning though. I literally just proposed to my classmates the idea of playing an online entrepreneurship board game because I miss the socializing. However I don't miss having to go in and set in a class when the weather is bad out, I'm busy, or do not feel well. From that perspective, I'll opt for asynchronous learning and supplement with any opportunities I find to socialize with others outside class.
