Everyone above a certain grade point gets invited to this. It's offered through many schools. It's not a YourPace thing. Don't get excited about the offer of scholarships. Everyone doesn't get one. It's $95 to join the lowest tier membership.

Hah! It's interesting you mentioned this, the first thing that popped into my thought was... They're using the membership fees to pay for one or a few of these scholarships.  Since not everyone will get the scholarship, they have to "get some cash flow ready" to get the qualified applicants and the number of scholarships available set.  It's another option other than having a "donate/gift" page like some universities have...

This society isn't an UMPI thing. It's a national thing. The scholarships are through the society not UMPI. This is not a donate/gift thing to a university. Nothing like that at all.
