I would think though that this situation shouldn't stop them from opening another class for you.  It shouldn't slow you down if Jessica/Cody open a new class because you have submitted the final already.  The milestones are the bigger issue because those are the ones that keep you from reaching the final assessment stage.

I don't need new a new class opened for me. I was able to complete 3 classes after submitting this final and have no more classes left to take. My concern is that I didn't master my first attempt and won't get it back in time for a 2nd attempt. This isn't based on me thinking I did a particularly bad job, just on wanting to make sure I have the time and opportunity to redo it if needed.

Well seeing that it's Dorsey, you're just going to have to wait. She's not just a professor at UMPI. She's also the Vice Chancellor of the entire U of M system so she's a very busy woman and she has a lot of students.

Unacceptable on her part. Vice Chancellor or not, that is a fault on UMPI. If she is so busy, hire an adjunct professor to take on the course load. Students are paying $1400 to complete as many courses as they want in the given 8 week-period. They should not be stumped by an overworked faculty member, because they simply refuse to hire at the rate of YourPace's expansion and growth. It is unfair to push excuses when we are paying to attend their university – it is their job. 72 hours is more than enough time to review and grade, if that timeline cannot be met, it is clear that there is a manning issue.

Honestly if you're this upset over having to wait on a final grade, you're really going to be floored when you get out into the real world and see what sort of privledges are allowed to the "boss".  As Vice Chancellor of the school she is incredibly busy and is likely only teaching these classes in order to take some burden off the other professors attached to the YourPace program.  Just chill out and work on something else or wait if its your last class.  As the Vice Chancellor of the school system, the President and Chancellor of the school system are the only two people she reports to outside of the board of trustees.  Nobody is going to tell her to hurry up, including the director of YourPace.

It seems like you maybe meant for this to be directed towards me. Imagine thinking that most of us don't already live in the real world. I don't have anything else to work on and my ONLY concern is that I'm offered the chance for a 2nd attempt at the final if that is needed. I'm going to bet that someone did tell her to hurry because after emailing the executive director, my final was magically reviewed.
