Name: BUS101 Introduction to Business
Subject: Business
Semester/Term: Summer 2 2023
Instructor: Humphrey
Long or Short?: Medium
Number of Outcomes: 6
Adaptive Outcomes?: Yes
Number of Milestone Activities: 6
Type of Milestone Activities: Short response, no word count or formatting requirements. Some of mine were like 200 words and the Prof. Affirmed them.
Type of Final Assessment: 97 Question MC Exam
Notes & Overall Thoughts: Use the adaptives to study . When you miss a question , it tells you what the correct answer is and why, so I would recommend intentionally missing some so you can focus on what to study for the final . The final is almost 100% the same questions as the adaptives. 6 Outcomes , but some of the outcomes are really brief so I called this class medium.

So , this class is not in Strut (i.e. YourPace) , its a kinda mini/faux capstone you just do with Prof. Dorsey over email.
You basically use the principles learned in BUS141 and other classes to put together a project plan with something from real life you’ve done. If you have a FT job , this should be relatively easy as you can just use something from work.
You complete the Project plan just as you did in BUS141, but instead of being an imaginary project, you of course use your real life scenario. It doesn’t have to be work related , it can be like putting on a kid’s birthday party, building a garden shed , moving houses. It just has to be "of size" you cant do brushing your teeth or making a cup of coffee . Mine was a training workbook I made for my job. You also have to have actually done it so you will need evidence of some sort. Photos, documents, or a like letter signed by your supervisor/manager that you did XYZ can be your evidence.
Notes & Overall Thoughts: This was the fastest class in my opinion because no reading, milestones , quizzes. I did mine in less than a day, Dorsey is just a busy woman so it took a week for her to grade.DONT OVERTHINK IT . The word count for each "section" varied from like 20 words to 800 words in my project plan.
