I have found this to occur commonly when I applied to other universities as well. The biggest difference between UC and the other universities with whom I applied was attitude. At UC they seemed to want to help. The appelate process for transcript evaluation errors at other universities, including the Big 3, was opaque and adversarial. Here is the current undergraduate catalog:
Still wondering if I could finish UMPI faster and with a higher GPA? The earliest I can start UC is January 8th, UMPI 3/11. I like the flexibility of Sophia but I was unable to fly through the courses like many others here. My father requires me to read every word and watch every minute of video in the courses. That requirement will continue wherever I transfer. Is UMPI only faster if you skip the material you know and take the tests?
I have added the University of the Cumberlands to the list of other colleges. The degrees there seem relatively easy to hack for max transfer credits.
I assume that UC's structure is similar to SNHU's, where papers are due weekly for each course. Typically at SNHU, students take 2 or 3 courses per 8-week term, resulting in a completion time of 8 to 10 months for a degree.
UMPI usually requires 2 to 4 months to complete the 10 required courses, and students often achieve at least a 3.5 GPA. However, I'm uncertain about the GPA expectations at UC.
