3 classes with unfavorable grades (F) will not make too much of a difference, especially since you will be doing 'easier' UMPI BAS/BLS classes that will get you better grades overall. The only way to 'fix' those previous grades are to retake the classes, unless you have the energy/money/time to do that, I would skip it. People make up for that by doing what they can for future classes... Furthermore, you can try getting even better grades when you're at the Masters level, it'll offset that completely.
They would have to retake the F classes at the college the grades were received at. Taking them at UMPI won't improve their overall GPA as the F would still be averaged in. If the classes are only a couple of years old, I'd repeat them if possible at the original institution. If we're talking 10 years ago, I'd just move on with life!
I thought I read that if the classes have the same course code for instance, "ENG" at my CC and "ENG" at UMPI, the grade would be replaced. Is that not true?
