UMPI doesn't recruit military students. They are very upfront when they say there are no deadline exceptions even for military members. We've had active service members on here decide against UMPI because they don't grant extensions or waivers for military members.
Members of the military are already government employees essentially so it's easy for them to transition to a governmental job. In some cases, it's an unwritten requirement. I know a few people who were military, their service ended, and then they moved into armed military-style security for the federal government. The only way into those positions is ex-military or ex-law enforcement. Few were ex-law enforcement with the majority being ex-military. The work was definitely not something for the average Joe public.
