Transferring credits

I spoke with my CC financial aid director and they said I have to provide proof from UMPI that I am not receiving financial aid from them, and that the classes I am taking at my CC will transfer to UMPI. The first letter is being sent today and I will need to wait until I receive my transfer evaluation to request the second one. It seems like I may not have to defer after all, but I am going to confirm to make 100% sure once both letters are received that I will not lose my CC financial aid.

I have not paid at UMPI yet, so if for some reason my CC does not accept the proof, I can still delay my UMPI start.

Good news! However, I can't see why your CC should care whether their courses transfer to UMPI or not. The only thing I can think of is some attempt to protect you from an unscrupulous school that says courses will transfer, then later refuses? The rub is that you generally can't get that kind of proof without actually transferring the courses, and that often requires being enrolled already.
