Name: ENG 151: Introduction to Literature
Subject: English
Semester/Term: Fall Term 1 ~ 2024
Instructor: Dr. Lea Allen
Long or Short?: Long (I spent 28 hours on this class and was halfway through before I decided to withdraw.)
Number of Milestone Activities: 3
Type of Milestone Activities: Essays (IIRC, varied from 800-1400 words)
Type of Final Assessment: 10 page essay.
Notes & Overall Thoughts: Most of the reading material is included in the course. For the final, a full-length book needs to be read (2 options are given), so this obviously takes time. Allen took a long time grading milestones (3+ days, up to a week.) I received very little feedback, but what I did receive was encouraging. I didn’t feel like the actual course content taught me about analyzing literature - I ended up needing to do a lot of outside YouTube and such to feel like I could competently complete the work. As stated above, I decided to withdraw because I really hated analyzing lit and the class was taking me so long. I tend to overthink my papers, though.
Name: EDU 152: Introduction to Education

Notes & Overall Thoughts: For those who don’t have an in-person class(es) to observe, there are video options, which are really helpful.
