Hi Everyone -

Special thanks to Lidel for your wonderful notes / progress.

I’m Canadian. Have completed my MBA / BBA and always had a goal of doing a DBA.

Some of the notes on long papers, stats, and the dissertation have me nervous as I have zero desire to research ongoing and am a better speaker than writer but challenge is good.

Did anyone else have these concerns?

Also, I still don’t fully get the Splitit. They charge full amount as a hold, take seat fee, then following month release hold and only take 1 installment per month?

Hi Adam. I'm glad my notes have been helpful!

From my perspective, the papers aren't overly long, but you can expect several per course. The stats and dissertation intimidated me going in, but the way it's structured, everything is coming together well. Regarding Splitit, they put a hold on your card for the whole amount you are financing. It is not charged to the card, but that amount goes against your available credit limit. The hold remains during the term of the payments, though it is decreased by your payment amount every month. It costs you nothing, though depending on your credit card limit, it may tank that card for a while. I hope that made sense. Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions.
