I am a WGU graduate who accelerated extremely fast with a Bachelor's in Cybersecurity taking around 40 days and then a Master's in Cybersecurity in 7 days. I enrolled and started my classes with South on March 1st which fell on a Saturday. I took that first day off and started on Sunday and as of today (5 days later) I have completed the first two courses, besides waiting on the professor to grade my last 3 papers (hopefully done tomorrow).
I have read that South will not let you graduate from this program without at least enrolling in the 2nd term, but do they require you to work on the capstone project (new option vs just dissertation) for a full 6 months or is it more freeform where it can be summitted any time in the 2nd term regardless of how early in the term it is. So far I have had the same professor for the past two classes and they have been great with grading papers, with all of them being completed next day. Are there any other roadblocks or concerns with my plan to knock out at least 1 class a week with a goal of 2 classes per week?
The latter 7000 series may take more time to turnaround, and the research course will definitely take more time to get graded. Choosing capstone is only possible after May 1st and no guidelines have been provided yet. I emailed the Dean on what the process entails, as I am nearly completed with my 8th course, but she has not returned my email.
I suspect there will be no way to get the last two courses speeded up, so you would fall into a second semester no matter how fast you complete coursework.
If you enter the Dissertation Research course before May 1, you will have to complete a dissertation or retake a different Capstone Research course before being allowed into Capstone.
