There was a point. Maybe a few, honestly. Where the momentum just slowed down.
The excitement of figuring out transfer credits and knocking out early courses started to fade a little. Life got busy. Work picked up. Some days, I couldn’t even open my laptop without feeling tired before I started. And those early wins? They weren’t hitting the same anymore.
But I reminded myself, not every course has to be fun. Not every day will feel productive. And that’s okay. What helped me keep going was updating my spreadsheet even with small things like “watched one video” or “read two pages.” It gave me something to feel good about, even on slower days. I also started listening to other students’ stories, just to remember I wasn’t alone in that weird middle part.
This wasn’t about rushing anymore. It became about showing up. Even if I just chipped away at it, it still counted.
What helped you push through when things slowed down? Did you have a system, a goal, or maybe someone keeping you accountable?
