ENEB New Master Thread

[chopliver2]

ENEB just called me. This is what the person conveyed:

ENEB graduates can transfer into one of the 4 degree programs with Unimarconi. One does not have to have completed a similar program at ENEB previously because all of the ENEB courses transfer, so if there are other modules required for a particular degree that is on offer, one can simply complete those modules to satisfy any deficiency.

The degree will be a Master Universitario Di Primo Livello
The Transcript will come directly from Unimarconi
The thesis is to be 12,000 words, and business-oriented, not research
Bachelor's Degree is required; the degree, transcript, and government-issued ID must be apostilled for students outside of the EU.

UNISEB Convalidation: The Transcript will come directly from Ui1

First level masters? So ENEB lied in their marketing material?

"Your studies will qualify you for public tenders, doctoral programs, and validations with other universities."

I think we should just take all of this with caution. It's a sales office calling to promote a new offering, and the person might not fully understand.

When I asked if it is first or second level, the person said "First level, 60 ECTS".  The truth is that the Second Level is also 60 ECTS, so the person might have just not known the answer.

Regardless of whether it is a first or second level, technically both are official degrees recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education, and they have a status that is above the titulo propio.

According to the Unimarconi site, admission to a 1st or 2nd level master's depends on the student's previous qualifications.

Bachelor's only students qualifies for entry in to a 1st level Master.
A student with a Bachelor's and Level 7 (Postgraduate Certificate, Postgraduate Diploma, or Master's) qualifies for entry in to a 2nd Level Master's.

Livello 1 is the equivalent of Titulo Propio in Italy

Livello 2 is the equivalent of A Professional Master I.e. what a DBA is to a PhD in Business at the Master Level.
