Not officially, but that has not stopped anyone. You will often find blantant AI abusers in the discussion forums.
Uopeople doesn't have a school-wide AI policy, so each instructor can decide whatever they want. There have been courses where it seems like every single post on the DF forum was AI-generated, and there have been courses where the instructor accused everyone of AI and deducted everyone's points (even if we didn't use it).
Post-AI, it's a shitshow, but it's not uniquely a Uopeople problem (we just perceive it more because of discussion forums). Academia as a whole needs to figure out some way to deal with AI.
