Undergraduate Electrical Engineering degree online

Having been associated with that failed diploma mill COSC since April 7, 2000 -- yes, over a quarter of a century -- I find it quite amusing, to say nothing of presumptuous and offensive, that some in the peanut gallery might suppose that they are more informed about COSC than I am. Further, I can think of no greater service I preform for the uninitiated than to warning them that COSC is to education what syphilis is to love. Admittedly, undergrad education in North America (yes, Canada, too) is, by and large, a cesspit, and, admittedly, my comment was meant as a bit of a pun -- COSC is a failed diploma mill in the sense that it (literally) fails to issue either diplomas or care about education much as a failed traditional mill fails to produce whatever it is meant to mill nor care much about its product. Perhaps I should have clarified my meaning. Surely, COSCs degrees are the equal to any other bottom tier, regionally accredited US institution. Good luck getting one.

As regards to "emphasiz[ing] specifics," given that my comment has been dismissed out of hand, arguably disrespectfully, I'm sure you can understand why I'm disinclined to cast further pearls (at least on this topic). Anyone interested could, however, file a freedom of information request with the US Department of Education, Office of Civil Rights, and request information on complaints against COSC. Heaven knows, the USDOE did nothing for me but waste my time, and they ignored my congressman's (alleged) inquiries, but perhaps you'll have better luck. You couldn't have worse luck.

The wording is just flowery and lengthy and provides no justification as to how this school is a diploma mill. I thought the courses that I took there were quite challenging, and that's coming from a background from an individual with almost 16 degrees and counting from multiple areas, both brick and mortar and online.

Longtime lurker but first time poster. Sorry for the late reply but since you already have a bachelors why not look into the Coursera CU Boulder Masters in Electrical and Computer Engineering (https://www.coursera.org/degrees/msee-boulder/academics). In the past the degree was referred to as a Masters in Electrical Engineering so it's really just a matter of semantics. (https://www.colorado.edu/ecee/ms-ee-degr...-fall-2025). The total cost now is $20,100.

Anyways this program is very flexible and self paced and there are no prerequisite coursework or transcripts / gre required to get in. The admission is getting a B or higher in the introductory sequence of courses. The coursework is also broken up into 30 1 credit courses to make the material easier to trudge through. You can also take the courses for free in the non credit version with a coursera plus membership or enroll in 1 1 credit course and you'll be able to access the rest of the CU Boulder catalog on coursera for free. The non credit version is almost identical just with a few missing assignments / tests. What many people do with CU Boulders coursera courses is to learn the course material at their own pace non credit first then finish up the assignments and tests in the for credit version once you understand the material.

In conclusion, CU Boulder is a very respected institution so I would say the coursework is very rigorous however it is also flexible and affordable so worth considering. The content in a EE bachelors will certainly be easier but you also wont be able to really complete the material at your own pace and there will be a lot more material 45-60 credits minimum compared to 30 credits.

It's also worth considering the advice of NukeMe3. TESU has a bachelors in Electronics Systems Engineering which you should be able to transfer in most of the degree with your prior bachelors and fill in the gaps with sophia, clep , straighterline etc. That shouldnt cost more then 8-10k and should be doable in 9 months or so depending on the amount of time you have.

Sorry for the late reply, I haven't checked this forum for a while and I'm still doing my search for Calc2-3, etc... I finished Calc 1 at ASU for 425, but those higher level courses are harder to find. Westcott was really low quality for my taste after ASU's Calculus course, so I left that one (sadly it's the cheapest option for Calc2-3 I think).

Now University of Arizona is on my radar (Electrical and Computer engineering BSc online) but it depends if I could get some waiver with my first bachelor's (like all Gen.ed.), which could significantly impact the prize. How are your studies going at NDSU? Have you switched to Stony?

I think a reasonable estimation for me is in the 40k ballpark, IF I could get some stuff waived with my first (unrelated) bachelor's degree.

Have you considered UMPI Yourpace? They have Calculus II & III, Probability and Statistics I & II, Discrete Mathematics and Linear Algebra. If you can finish all of them in 1 session, it's only $1,800.

Given that most of the elearner courses via ASU cost roughly $400 to have transcribed, UMPI may well be a viable and cost effective option for OP given these are the courses that they have to complete. If it were me, I would wait for the BS Cybersecurity program to come out, see if I could knock out that degree simply because of the number of courses they were looking to complete, and take those RA credits over to whatever school they are looking for. Plus, they may have the added benefit of having all Gen Ed waived because of a second bachelors. Additionally, I would imagine that a computer-related bachelors would pair well with an engineering degree

Now I'm a bit hesitant justifying 40k for a degree from a country where wages are way lower than the U.S., so I was looking at a BS in Math from IU East for ~20k (which is good for STEM overall, cheaper, but not too useful to land a job I assume) or online degrees from top-tier Indian Unis like IIT Madras, Data Science and Applications (3-5k USD for the whole stuff) or the one on Coursera from BITS, Pilani CS Bachelor for 8k (they say they are brutally hard and rigorous, maybe too hard).

I'm a bit lost because they CS is oversaturated and hard to find a job. I was also considering getting a masters in CS (given I have a BA already) but I don't think I could do that. (UC Boulder offers online masters on Coursera in CS for 15k.)
