Hi All Study Buddies!
I have a question for Lia or anyone around who might be familiar with how TESC is transcribing Aleks Statistics courses. I just sent a help desk message to TESC on this but since the answers from our little forum are often spot on....thought I'd post the here too. I read this thread prior to doing Aleks "Introduction to Statistics". I guess I got the idea that Intro to Stats is the Aleks course TESC is accepting/transcribing for their statistics requirement in the 'BA/Psychology' degree. After completing Intro to Stats I emailed a friend from the forum. She's in the same degree program and she did Aleks "Behavioral Statistics". (Which makes more sense than doing the Intro to Statistics.)
Now I'm hoping TESC will accept 'Intro to Stats' for the BA in Psychology. All statistics classes and requirements are somewhat interchangeable. Right??! :o Well that's what I'm hoping tesc will think when they get back to me. (Not relishing the thought that I may have slowed my progress because I stupidly took the wrong class.) Arghhh!!
Anyway, thanks for listening to me forum members. I'll update here if I learn anything that might help someone else.

lmcc Wrote:ALEKS sooooo rocks, just gotta share!!! After TESC transcripted my Business Stats course as an UL Business course, I decided not to argue with them and just take the ALEKS Intro to Stats course to fulfill requirements for both my in-progress BA/Psych and planned BSBA Gen Mgmt. Yesterday evening I finally got around to starting the Intro to Stats course, and hit 69% complete on the initial course assessment. Today, I went back into the course, did a couple of modules as refreshers, requested another assessment, and hit 78% complete. I then immediately logged out of ALEKS, logged into ACE, and submitted the course as complete. Went to grab a drink, came back a few minutes later, refreshed the ACE screen, and found that ALEKS had already approved the course - in less than 5 minutes from submission! So, in less than 24 hours, 3 more credits and a math requirement complete! :-) Gotta love the ALEKS corp fantastic level of customer service - it's so rare nowadays....
