...there wasn't even a "please" thrown in. This person had contributed nothing to the forum and only had 1 post which was a thread asking for anyone to send study materials to her email.

I wonder if this stems for the mentality that test-derived education is a no-effort way of obtaining a degree. We know this is quite false: we have to work to get our results just like anyone. Though I must admit, we are certainly more efficient.

The ability to pass a CLEP test or DSST is not handed to you on a silver platter! But IC and using the search function and taking heed to what you read is pretty close.
