Hey Everyone! My first post would be about math - haha.
I have been studying for this test for a couple weeks now, and I think I'm slowly getting the hang of it. I just wanted to post what books I am using and some links of some helpful websites. I don't know when I'm going to take this test - probably just do it when I have all the information down. So far though - limits, derivatives, integrals ... it's going well.
I am using the Idiot's Guide to Calculus, the Humongous Book of Calculus Problems, and I recently acquired the Pass Your Class Calculus Book. I haven't been able to look at that one yet (busy with dance recital!) but from what I have heard I think it will be good.
desuu: I took Precalculus in January and got a 68. I didn't think it was too hard, but then again, I like math. I just used Precalculus Demystified and the REA Guide. I would recommend both, they were very good. You need to know functions inside and out ... and the rest of the test is Trig, Geo, Algebra and some random graphing problems.
Here are some helpful websites I found for Calculus:
Tutorials for the Calculus Phobe
http://www.math.tamu.edu/~kahlig/handouts/deriv.pdf (a whole page of derivative problems)
Limits as x Approaches a Constant (a whole page of limit problems)
