Hi Magic,
That web site was the first site I found when I started researching CLEPs. It is an extremely helpful site, and I still refer back to it regularly. However, the opinion of the 'difficulty level' of each exam is obviously just one person's subjective opinion, based on his own experience.
I think a message board like this is probably a more reliable place to research the 'difficulty level' of the various exams, because you can observe patterns from the 'collective opinion' of many people, over time.
If an exam is objectively difficult, you would expect to see a majority of people reporting it as such, and the same if an exam is objectively easy. One individual may find an exam quite easy, while another individual might find the same exam quite difficult. But if nine out of ten individuals think an exam is quite difficult, we are obviously getting closer to some kind of statistical consensus.
It's a bit like the lifelines on Who Wants to be a Millionaire. Do you phone a friend, or ask the audience?
