Insane? Yeah, maybe. I'm about 55% done with College Algebra right now, and have racked up about 150 hours. I imagine that if I went the whole 100%, I might rack up close to that number. I'm thinking some of those 250-hour types might be the more math-challenged amongst us while some might be folks starting from scratch without even basic algebra.
More stressful? Probably just more frustrating. If you try juggling regular B&M classes or a fast-paced online course with a full workload/other commitments (e.g. family), I imagine the class would be WAY more stressful than ALEKS, even if you did run a few hours more than everyone else.
