I'm in the BA in Liberal Studies program at TESC. If they assign ALEKS Beginning Algebra to Free Electives, that doesn't help me at all. I've already completed all of my Free Electives. I was hoping it would be assigned as another math course instead, with ALEKS Intermediate Algebra fulfilling the primary math requirement. If it does fall under Free Electives than I'll have to take another Dantes exam in sciences to get 3 more credits I need, probably Physical Geologgy. The problem I have is two-fold: I need to satisfy either another math or science course, which I was hoping Beginning Algebra would do but I guess now DSST Physical Geology will, and I have to take DSST Environment & Humanity regardless in order to have an upper level computer course moved down on my evaluation. I need that last class moved down to satisfy 1 of the 6 upper level courses we are required to take**.
I am satisfied, I don't care what the put the credits under I just wanted assurance I would get them.
So in order to have everything done correctly by July 1st, the cutoff to apply for graduation in October, I guess all of this means the following for me in order to finish on time:
1. I need to take DSST Organizational Behavior next week.
2. I need to take DSST Environment & Humanity by the end of March.
3. I need to take HIST-310 The Middle East through TESC starting in April and finishing at the end of June. The grade for this course will give me my GPA at TESC.
4. I need to take DSST Physical Geology before the end of June if ALEKS Beginning Algebra counts only as a Free Elective.
Does this all sound right? I've attached my updated degree plan if that helps. I'd appreciate any help in reviewing this. Thanks!
**- Right now on my official academic evaluation the upper level computer course I took in the Navy (TESC equivalent is COS-332) falls under an extra computer course but I need this moved down to the Liberal Studies courses area to satisfy having taken 6 upper level courses. This is why I need either ALEKS Beginning Algebra or DSST Physical Geology to be accepted. I'd prefer Beginning Algebra of course since I've already completed that course.
