Credit for ALEKS Corp (McGraw Hill) Online courses in College Algebra & Statistics

Okay, I am rather confused and worried. I just saw the latest postings on this thread and my heart is now positioned somewhere in my throat.

After 3 agonizing months, I finally assessed at over 70% on ALEKS Beginning Algebra. I actually just made it over the hump this past Friday 02/26/2010. I am enrolled at TESC in the BA of Liberal Studies program. I was under the impression that Beginning Algebra would satisfy the 3 credit college-level Mathematics requirement as MAT102. I never wrote to TESC and asked for permission because so many others were getting the credit.

Will ALEKS Beginning Algebra fulfill the math requirement for a BA in Liberal Studies?

I have no confidence in math and I don't think that I can go through this again.

I'm pretty sure that ALEKS Intermediate Algebra will satisfy the primary math credit and not Beginning Algebra. The question I'm waiting on TESC to answer is whether Beginning Algebra will count as a secondary math course or as a free elective. I'm hoping for the former rather than the latter.

It's not too bad though for you, Intermediate Algebra and Beginning Algebra are VERY similiar. I'd suggest using Mathway and/or Algebrator. Trust me, I'm as much a mathphobe as you are. :ack: They definitely help!
