[QUOTE=jeff]No, trust me, it is really bad for me! Math is the only thing that I had left to complete if my score comes in high enough on English Comp w/Essay.

Stop. You and John need to just hold up for a second. John applied, so in a few short days (weeks) he will get an eval, and we will all be waiting on pins and needles to see where they place that credit.
Listen, most schools call beginning algebra "remedial" and don't give it 100 level. Wayyyyy back when ACE evaluated the beginning algebra and assigned it as college credit, TESC jumped in with the 100 level math credit. (duplicating 1/2 of the CLEP college math). Now, as you have noticed, the past few weeks have been hairy with this class, it it is probably due to the fact that we have some new advisors. An advisor from JoeBlow University is coming in and seeing the title and automatically answering the question without knowing that TESC has allowed this class as a 100 level. Be patient, and if you have an extra $20 you could just try to start the intermediate- just to get going IN CASE you get the beginning level as elective credit. If not, and it ends up as a 100 level math, then you can decide if you want to jump ship or finish the intermediate. CYA.
And a few posts back someone asked if CLEP college algebra duplicates the other MAT121 algebras- the answer is yes. Do NOT take any of the ALEKS MAT121 classes and the College Algebra CLEP. (College Math is ok though- no matter what, you'll get at least 3 credits, possibly 6)
