Seems like you have gotten all the advice you need, but just to put my two cents in; what ever job you do have, do your best at it and try to excel in it even though you might not like it. Whenever the opportunity to advance or to move somewhere else in another job opens up, take it. Especially if it allows you to exercise your full potential.
Talk about a job you don't want to have, just be glad you never had "$h!t burning detail". We used to get cut up 55 gallon drums full of human feces, pour diesel inside and burn and stir. We used to do this in the Saudi Desert and early stages of Iraq and Afghanistan. And you don't want to imagine what it smelled like. Now that's a crappy job, literally.
