I took my last undergrad exam this afternoon, and I now officially have a college degree. I hold a Baccalaureate of Science Degree - Major in Business, Minor in Biochemistry w/ 3.7GPA.
....whew!
I averaged about 10 hours of study per test, some a little more, some a little less. I used Instacert (almost exclusively) to prep for 11 CLEP/DSST exams. Between the flashcards and the notes people were kind enough to post on their test taking experiences (under the individual test topics) I was able to save the time and expense of 33 credit hours. Think about that, that's a year of college expense for electives and lower division classes. For me, (Wesleyan) that meant $425.00 per credit hour x 33 hours.
That was over $14,000.00, plus at least another $2,000.00 for books!
The Instacert guys (and you guys) actually helped me save enough to pay for the Masters Degree program I applied for this week! I just wanted to take a second to say thanks to everyone that posted their tips after taking an exam, those comments were really helpful to me, and also I wanted to say thanks to the web masters and forum moderators that keep the service up and running. It was a great experience for me and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you folks to anyone.
