There are different ways to handle the COSC concentration issue, but I don't think that employer verification is an issue. If it were, my younger brother who is a COSC alum, never would have gotten a job some of the amazing companies he's worked at. Trust me, he's had his fair share of work-based background checks. You just put on your resume Charter Oak State College, Bachelor of Science, Business Administration. OR, you could but Business Administration Concentration. If anyone asks, you just say that COSC calls them concentrations and not majors.
However, it sounds like this would make you very uncomfortable, and since you'll be spending the next few months or more of your life on this, and it will be on your resume for the rest of your life, you need to do something that will make you happiest. If it makes you feel more confident going into an interview knowing that you have a major, then TESC is a much better choice.
I also agree that being forced to take a capstone stinks. However, now that I'm in the capstone, I would HIGHLY recommend that anyone considering online grad school take one or two online undergrad classes. The dynamic of the class is totally different than what I'm used to and I'm so glad I'm getting this 'practice' at the undergrad level rather than when it's costing me 3x as much as a grad student!
Ya know burb, you might be selling me on COSC. It's not that I want to be uncomfortable, it's just that the employers are SO "vicious" here and it's SOOOOO cutthroat. I guess that's what terrifies me. I'd love to know more about your bros experiences..tell him to get on this forum! lol
What makes you enjoy the capstone? Isn't it just like an online class?
