Thanks to all for comments, and over the last year and a half, the encouragement and information from you all have made it all possible. This tortoise also did most of these one at a time and it DID get done - so don't knock it.
Enjoy the laugh - my boss was already talking to me about going further on, in order to make the job opportunities more varied and more secure than others who have not done so. One thing I've learned since I started teaching, is that once you are in the educational arena, they see the paper as so very important when deciding who to cut and who to keep. It must be on the check list when the pros/cons have to be weighed.
