This reminds me of Canandian Tire money.
Canadian Tire might say it's equivalent to the Canadian dollar and is therefore worth as much, and they'll accept their self-created money when you're buying their stuff, but good luck finding anyone else in Canada who will accept it in exchange for their goods.
Things are only worth as much as someone will value it for. I think you'd be hard pressed to find any uni here in Europe willing to accept these in lieu of credits from an actual university.
