$8650 regionally accredited DBA: Level 8 + Westcliff DBA through Capital College

Hi guys! I finished my masters in management earlier this year and am currently exploring 100% online DBA options.

I talked to the advisor from Capital College regarding their DBA offer with Westcliff, and this was the cost breakdown if you enter with the Qualifi Level 8 Diploma:

$50 Application
$200 Enrollment
6x $25 = $150 registration fee assuming a 2 year timeframe (3 semesters per year)
6x $125 = $750 tech fee (for 2 years, 3 semesters per year)
30x $200 = $6000 tuition fees

So approx. $7150 for the DBA top-up if you enter with the Level 8 Diploma and only need 30 more credits.

The Level 8 Diploma costs about $1500 (1100 GBP at Trinity Open Learning, which is an official Qualifi learning center), so in total this entire DBA from an ACBSP accredited, regionally accredited institution with several on-site programs and campuses in the US, will be somewhere around $8650 if you manage to complete the dissertation stage within 2 years.

Am I missing something here or is this an amazing offer? I feel ready to start this pathway and am curious to hear your thoughts.

Considering a DBA taught directly by Westcliff costs about $50,000, this would be a heckuva deal. But I would get clarification on who the transcript comes from. If the degree itself is just branded as Westcliff, no one will care about the transcript in the United States except if you were trying to be employed as a college instructor or maybe work in government, otherwise the degree alone will suffice. But if the degree is also branded with Capital and lists a foreign country for conferral, then that may raise foreign credential questions and then you will need that transcript to go through the whole foreign credential evaluation deal.

At that point, the degree may be treated like a propio and not be fully credited as a Doctorate by FCE standards. I personally find that ridiculous when we have edX and Coursera doing the same thing with universities here in the United States and with foreign schools, but foreign credential evaluators like ECE and others are mostly ridiculous, aliterate, and don't even know that's happening according to more than a handful of accounts I've come across...

I have heard of other <$10K offerings from Westcliff, I think through Great Learning? Looks like an excellent opportunity, depending on the answers to the questions posed by from eLearner. I am more interested in a PhD, but at this price and assuming the diploma and transcript come from Westcliff, the DBA is very tempting.

I contacted the advisor from Capital College in the UAE and he gave me these tuition rate estimates. If you study at Westcliff directly, the rates seem to be much higher than if you do it through this intermediary. Idk if it's just for non-US residents or if people in the US could enroll through Capital College as well. Yeah, the Level 8 usually costs something close to 1500 GBP. Trinity Open Learning was the best deal I found and I checked the Qualifi database on approved learning centers and they were in there. I checked with Capital College and I just received the same pricing.  If you have an accredited MBA, you do not need the L8 Diploma.
