2 degree's possibility

Hi folks,
I just have to say first off I think this is a wonderful site and I have been extensively reading all of the threads.

I do have a couple of questions so please bare with me if the questions sound a little rediculous.

I have worked in business as well as tv/film and have approx 20 credits each (give or take) in the courses I have taken at university. I changed careers and only did what I had to do in order to start off in a new job.

What I want to know is if it is possible to undertake 2 bachelor's degrees from Excelsior?
I was thinking majoring in Communication and in Business.

Would I just complete the one degree in lets say business, and then do the required 33 credits for the communication major to come out with the second degree?
Or would I just do one degree and then put these other credits I have towards a Masters program.

Because I have these credits already, I thought it would be a waste not to use them for both pathways should I change career direction once again.

It's been a little while now and I am so determined and motivated to at least fulfill my promise to myself and finish getting a degree.

Your thoughts would be very welcome.

According to Excelsior's Student Policy Handbook, you may only pursue a second EC bachelor's if it's in a different school. If you earned a bachelor's in Communications, you are allowed to earn a second bachelor's in a business/technology, nursing or health sciences major; in this scenario, you are not allowed to pursue a second bachelor's in a liberal arts major like history or biology.

After you have completed the first degree, you can fulfill up to 75% of the requirements for the second degree using credits from the first.

Unless the credits you have now are graduate-level ones, it's unlikely they can be applied to a master's.

As for double-majors, I think they're allowed by the School of Liberal Arts, but both majors would have to be from the liberal arts. You'd want to consult with an EC advisor about that!

Have you considered Charter Oaks instead of Excelsior? COSC offers a BA/BS in Liberal Arts with a 36-credit concentration instead of a major. You could pursue a double concentration, or create an Individualized Concentration combining business and communication. This could take better advantage of the credits you've already earned.
