Soooooo...doesn't transfer as the required oral communications course than huh? Bugger! I'm really dragging my feet on starting Comm 101. Speeches AND quizzes....so many quizzes. I'm burned out (I just finished Abnormal Psych and am just about to start my Social Psych final).

The Comm 101 course part was painfully simple. I completed it on the heels of my Comp 1 course so I just used some of the writing I did for that and converted them to speeches. I didn’t enjoy the speeches but it was an easy course. I know the feeling of being burned out in all those quizzes though. But going ahead and getting that one done will check off one of the dreaded courses for most people and it wasn’t hard AT ALL.

I feel the same way about this course. Just get it out of the way and move on :-)

This may have already been discussed before, but how do you get NccrS-approved courses over to TESU? Send a request through study.com?

I would only recommend NCCRS credits if you can't find the ACE credits anywhere else, including Study.com
Most courses at Study.com have ACE credit recommendation and NCCRS, I wonder why they overlap it...

For ACE, there is no fee to send transcripts to them, but for NCCRS, there are - see link below.

I think it's worth it for NCCRS credits, if you can send them all at once so there would be only a one fee hit of $40.
Hopefully that is for a one time transcript fee - for ACE, it's $20 for first time, $15 for subsequent requests.

Their support page says there is a fee. Email them back telling them your college will deny it because it's not from the original source. They should get back to you with a form to fill out and they will send it to TESU for free.

TESU has already said they will no accept the Excelsior transcript that Study.com was trying to do.  So you need to contact Study.com directly and ask for them to send in a transcript.  Last I heard it was free.

I sure hope they'll do it for free!  I was all excited about this short course... until I heard about the additional $40 fee. Yuck!

It worked for me with Intro to Criminology. It took about a week or two for TESU to acknowledge they got the transcript though.

Here is the link to request an NCCRS transcript from Study.com: https://app.smartsheet.com/b/form/b90253...bd813935c1
The process takes about 10 days for it to get to TESU then post to your student account.
No cost.

On this form when they ask for student email address, do they mean the email used for study.com or do they want your TESU email address?
