Making it official since COSC has officially accepted my application.  It's currently down to COSC, WGU and Hodges.  Link to COSC spreadsheet below.

Good luck!

Have you made a decision on which program to go with yet?

I cant weight in on Hodges, but I enjoyed the cybersecurity undergrad program at COSC and so far the masters at WGU has been pretty solid.

Thanks!!  My tuition reimbursement doesn't kick until May 2018, so knocking out a bunch of LL credits via Study.com (Guardian) and Modern States.  I'm also looking at WGU and a couple of programs in my home state (can only import 90 credits, but still pretty cheap overall at about $120/hr).

Best of Luck Smile

I might consider the cyber security degree because I've always wanted to get CISSP which is equivalent to 16 credits if i'm not wrong.

May I know with how many credits did you applied to COSC ? Can you please elaborate the misc 11 credits in the spreadsheet?

The misc 11 credits are the free ones from TEEX, Sophia, NFA and the Ethics (CPCU) credits. The CISSP is worth 16 credits, BUT, it only covers 3 of the topics in the UL areas, so you still need a ton of UL credits.

Fundamentals of Network Security, Fundamentals of Infosec, and Network and Data Communications are covered. The following, however, are not:

Legal Issues in Infosec
Managing Risk in Infosec
Security Policies and Implementation
Auditing IT Infrastructure for Compliance
Systems Forensics, Investigations and Response
Hacker Techniques, Tools and Incident Handling
Security Strategies for Web Apps
Security Strategies for Linux
Cyberwarfare or Security Strategies for Windows

For a total of 9 classes I'd have to take via COSC (pricey), PLA out of (not as bad, but still expensive) or find alternate sources of credit for. This is why I'm considering a school in my state (even if I need to take 10 classes there) or WGU/Hodges.

Also, to answer your question, I sent my JST transcripts and CISSP documentation. COSC gave me an unofficial transcript that covered 38 credit hours. This was before I started knocking down CLEPs and Study.com.

Just as an fyi: http://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/showthre...#pid178481

I just looked at your spreadsheet and just for an FYI you can probably get out of oral communication at COSC with a few documents and a note from your boss.

I do like the format a lot at WGU, but if you dont already know the subject or you dont like to have to teach yourself it isnt for you. I had less to finish at COSC and I knew I could use CEH and CHFI (which my employer reimbursed me for) to knock out upper level requirements and then turn around and use them again at WGU.

I'm actually doing the Oral Comms class with Study.com currently (in case I pick a school that won't let me waiver it). I usually give 4-5 presentations a year (helps with the CPEs for the CISSP), so it's not really too tough. Also, I've been self teaching for 20+ years now, so I don't foresee any issues with it. It also depends on how my company decides they want to cover college, so I may end up doing a traditional B&M if that's what they want. In the case of the B&M, if I play my cards right, I'll only need to take 9 classes (and all of them online).

Also looking at TESU for a BSAST in TS

Haven't updated in a while. I've narrowed down the schools for my bachelors to WGU or Hodges. COSC and TESU seem like way too much of a headache for Cyber Security. Also, I emailed Nancy Williams (Parks) at Pierpont today. I am graduating in May 2018 for the WV BOG AAS :-). No AoS because I only have 3 classes with letter grades.
