BTW, why is he under your wing and not the "other" bro who finished his Masters in CIS at Hodges? I mean, couldn't he seek help between the both of you? I would share the responsibility, family is family, pitch in together, get things done together. I have sisters, we work together in everything, I don't focus on helping or being helped by one sister... I think that's different if I have brothers, but I won't know... Anyways, good luck!
IF you get the Pell Grant, ask UMPI for a Professional Judgement, and you'd ahve $0 out of pocket fees for UMPI

Hi my parents paid for all of our undergraduate degrees, so we were very lucky in this aspect. My other brother who received his MIS at Hodges is more of a self starter. My family has tried to help my younger brother in the same way. My parents paid for my younger brother to attend first a traditional state university and later a community college, where he washed out of both of them. At this point my parents have both said no more he is on his own.
My younger brother has had some issues, but I see potential and I know he can do this. I also think he is tired of working the types of jobs he has so far (mostly remote customer service) and wants to seek a career. I have decided to take my younger brother under my wing because I think he needs my sterness and strict guidelines and he has always responded to my interventions. For example I have set goals for him at Sophia and he is stick to them by completing and passing 3 courses per week with them. I will set goals for him at UMPI as well.

Sometimes this is what it takes - being tired of sucky jobs. It's all part of growing up. We all grow up at a different pace and in different ways. I wish him luck and hope he's successful! It sounds like having goals on Sophia is really helping him. 3 classes a week is no joke.
