Just for clarification I am signing up for the Computer Applications class with PF and according to TESC it will transfer over as CAP-101. This is not the same as the DSST or CLEP intro to computers that transfers as COS-101, Right????? Does anyone know if I can just do the challenge assessment after I pay and that will give me either a pass/fail, does that mean I will get credit and not have to actually take the class??

THANKS!!

I just finished this entire course. I worked on it all day. It is 3 exams and 3 projects. If you know excel, word, and power point it is super easy!!! I am waiting for the grades on 3 graded projects. On the 3 exams I got 90, 90, 100. So I'm hoping that all I have to do is wait for the grade on the projects and then I will done with no proctor involved at all. STAY TUNED!

No, they aren't the same. COS is computer science and CAP is computer applications.

Ok this class is complete, Ended up with a 97 in the class!! I just requested the credits be transferred to ACE this morning. No proctor needed for anything.

I HIGHLY recommend this class if anyone needs a quick 3 credits (transcribed as CAP-101 at TESC) and you can work with excel/word/power point and are ok with paying $225 ($75/cr).

This had to have been the easiest 3credits I have taken. I wish it was alittle cheaper (like CLEP/DSST prices) Especially since everything is online and no text books are sent or required. But I won't complain at all, I got my 3 credits I needed.

Next I decided to do the DSST intro to computers instead of CLEP test, I think next week, just need to schedule it.

I was very impressed with PF!
