Class Central made a list of online degrees from India. 

"At Class Central, we’re big fans of low-cost online degrees like Georgia Tech’s Online Master’s in Computer Science (OMSCS), which costs $7000.

I looked at a few of these. All the ones I looked at required exams taken in test centers in India. I'd love to hear if people find exceptions.

Amity is the only one I'm aware of. They're also the only one to have a dual accreditation - they're recognized by both India's UGC and WASC.

We also have a regular here who attained an OP Jindal Global University master's and on the sister board who attained an Assam Don Bosco University master's from North America using no test centres in India. Chandigarh University advertises that its online master's examinations are available from anywhere. Coursera hosts several programs from Indian universities that appear to use fully online exams.

Interesting. I was most interested in Chandigarh for psychology or sociology—it did appear that you need to travel to a test center in India, but I'll contact them to follow up.

I was aware of the Coursera option and am considering it for OP Jindal. It seems like going through Coursera would be the most seamless option, as long as they offer what you want there.

There are so many institutions that are somewhat top notch within India, I would recommend people to get them if they're local or in the neighboring countries. Having said that, just like UpGrad and their partnerships, you want to make sure it meets your expectations and what you're looking for in the educational journey of yours. If these options hit all the check boxes, then that is an indication you'll likely accept them due to their cost, ease, speed to finish...

I was very fond of IIT Madras and at that time they confirmed to me it was possible to use online proctor instead of local test center.
