Im thinking about going to excelsior in addition to my community college would the top universities accept thier credits?

If you're talking about a completed degree, then yes, a lot of Excelsior grads have gone on to big name grad schools. As far as individual credits go, that can be hit or miss, but that really applies to any transfer attempts between schools.
