Ok, I took a DSST exam today and passed! The process specific to the community college I took the test at was:
- I had to first mail them a check for the proctoring fee, then I was able to schedule my exam
- On the day of (today), I created a DSST account and paid the $80 test fee online
- Make sure to have the "Institution Code" for your school handy as you will need to enter that code to ensure your results go to the right place.
- The exam was immediately scored at the end.
