@OP, When they closed, did they not have a repository or a teach out/transfer option? They should have a credit bank/repository or the National Student Clearing House might have the info. I don't recall, but you should dig deep into it and see if you can get your credits/transcripts. Most schools you apply to at the grad level would want to know as the NSCH will report most if not all the info...

Thanks for the info. I don't recall being notified. I found out only via an online search/rabbit hole (not sure when). In any case, I wasn't aware of the NSCH, so I will have to dig into that and find out how that works. I'll check the wiki later today.
I did follow up on my transcript today, so hopefully, I will hear back soon. I also noticed the closed page of partner institutions has been updated, so at least it's not abandoned.

For the BOG, I have two questions, if someone would be kind enough to clarify. Does my Speech cover the Comms. requirement? Does my Intro to Computers cover the Comp Lit requirement? I've got a few days left of my Sophia membership, so I'm trying to figure the next best class to take... while I study/finish everything else. It might be best to hold and focus on RA and CLEPs? Thoughts?

If you take US History at Sophia, that'll count for the Social Sciences requirement for Pierpont. https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Pi...ivalencies History is also required for pretty much any degree, so you'll be able to use it for your Bachelor's.
DO NOT do Algebra through CLEP, Sophia is SO MUCH easier and faster if you're going to UMPI.
Other than the social sciences, you've already met the 15 credit requirement for Pierpont. Just make sure you have 60 credits total and you're good to go.

My transcript from the closed school came in. I received a certificate in graphic design and that's what the transcript says. The course is simply listed with DGD and 8 credits. I got a good grade. I don't remember a lot about that season in my life other than I was excited to have found a program that could work around my schedule and that I would get a certificate. It was an intensive summer with a lot of homework.
I sent a copy of the transcript to one of the partner schools to see if they will accept the certificate. More to come.

FYI, it doesn't matter if the partner school accepts it or not. If you're going to Pierpont, UMPI, or TESU, that is whose opinion matters. The partner school might reject it while Pierpont/UMPI/TESU might accept it. Or vice-versa.

This is a weird way to go about things. You have a transcript sent to whatever school you want to attend. That's the document saying how many credits you took, in what, and your grade.
I'm completely confused about the certificate, I don't think that's worth anything (not sure how it could be). A certificate in and of itself is not worth something - but a transcript is.

OH. Wait, so you mean that other schools outside of the partner schools can accept my credits from a closed school?
If so, for some reason I thought that only partner schools on the table. And if so, then yes, I will send my transcript to Pierpont and see what they say.

Yes. The "partner schools" are schools that have said "yes, we will accept credit from this other institution". But it doesn't exclude other schools from also accepting the credits. It depends on a lot of factors, including how open the school is about accepting transfer credits in general.
A school like ASU might not accept them, because they're very picky about transfer credits. On the other hand, Pierpont will accept almost anything legitimate, so they likely will accept them.

I agree. I misunderstood some information about partner schools.
The certificate is confusing because I took one intensive program, and it looks like it's only registered as one class. I also sent it to my local community college as well to see what they say because they used to work with the closed college a long time ago. If they at least accept it as an elective, I'm good.
