Hi everyone, I have been at it for 2 years. I now have 17 classes, plus the capstone, before i am done.
I am hoping to complete 17 courses in 12 months using Study.com, then take the business capstone. However, I am worried about having enough time each month for 2 full classes (and using my 2 exams!), especially since about half the classes I have left require essays. I work full time. I would really appreciate it if anyone who has taken any of these courses through Study.com could tell me if they were OK, or really awful/long winded - and whether you think i could complete them in 2 weeks.
My thought was that i would 'save' the shorter courses above the divider to do each month alongside a longer course, since those do not have any essays. Then maybe i could spend one week on the short courses and 3 on the long courses.

I just completed 6 courses in a month and a half and 5 were upper level, working FT as well.
I think if you can tie in lower level courses to upper level courses, it will be much quicker. I completed the 2 Vietnam courses easily in a week or so if I remember.
Aim for as high of a mark on the exam as you can for upper level courses, there will be no pressure for the assignments after that.

Holy moly, how many hours a day did you study? or did you cram on weekends?

I would just watch the videos during lunch at work and for a couple hours each night, completing the quizzes. Weekends I definitely did a lot more.
After all of the quizzes were complete, I would complete most of the practice tests and review any flashcards the course had, then I would immediately take the exam as soon as possible.

Intro to Computing BUS109 - this course has a pretest (could make the course shorter) - use it as many times as you can
Macroeconomics - this course has a pretest - use it as many times as you can
Microeconomics
----------------------------------------------------------
English Composition I
English Composition II
Communications 301: Diversity and Intercultural Communication - do not take, comes in as LL but has UL coursework
Business 324: Managerial Communication - are you doing this for the core? If so, take BUS 113: Business Communication instead
Finance 104 Financial Management (emailed TESU to see if I can use this instead of principles of finance) - it is only 2cr, you may want/need to stick to FIN 101: Principles of Finance, which also has a pretest (could make the course shorter)
Marketing 303: Global Marketing
Business 309: Digital Marketing & Advertising (AOS)
Finance 302: International Finance (emailed TESU to see if I can use this) (AOS)
Psychology 301: Industrial/Organizational Psychology (AOS)
Sociology 305: Sociology of Work (AOS) - I don't think this will work as a business course
Business 314: Employment Law (AOS) - VERY long course
Business 319: Negotiations & Conflict Management (AOS)
I'm not sure why you've chosen some of these, as I think you're definitely making it harder than it has to be. You only need 4 UL courses in the Business core, so only do that much.
Take Fin 101 and then consider FIN 301 Corp Finance (shorter that most others); I don't have info on International Finance yet, but it's not terribly long, and may fit in well with Global Marketing
If you need International Business for the Core, take BUS 120: International Business and then consider Marketing 303: Global Marketing and/or Marketing 308: Applied Marketing which are both short
=============================
It's kind of hard, because I can't tell what you've already taken, and I can't tell why you've chosen some of the courses that you have. Many are long, they may have shorter/easier alternatives, I'm not sure which areas you already have filled in the AOS. It's just really hard when we don't have which courses you already have completed here (like your whole degree plan).
You may just want to post your degree plan, clearly delineating what you've already taken, and what you're planning on taking, and go from there.

I completed six courses last month. This month, I completed 4. Been a bit busy. But with study.com, it is possible to speed up. Saylor sometimes requires poring through huge amounts of printed material to take note of important points. But study.com just compiles info and offers it all to you. So it is not difficult.

Getting through 17 courses in 12 months shouldn't be too hard. I completed 19 courses at Study.com in about 6 months. I averaged just over 3 courses per month, with 2 per month at minimum and 6 per month in my last month (because I was busting butt to get done before my capstone started). I was putting in an average of 3-5 hours a day during the week and 8 hours per day on weekends, or about 30-40 hours a week.
The way to get through courses quickly is to first focus on subjects you already know pretty well. Those go the quickest.
After that, try and overlap your topics from general to specific, so you can leverage courses you've already taken. That way when you start the next course, many of the quizzes will already be completed. Plus being familiar with the subject matter will help you move through the new material quicker. For example, I did this to get through 3 psychology courses and a sociology course for my GenEds in a month.
Most of the courses with written assignments are pretty simple and don't require a lot to pass. At least if all you care about is passing, which means you only need 70%. With 100% on the quizzes and 70% on the final, you only need 40% on the papers to pass. Though I recommend putting more effort into the papers since you'll be doing a ton of writing in the capstone and you will want to be prepared by working on your writing skills. Either way, for some courses you can get each of the papers written in a few hours, others will take a day, or maybe two to three days at worst.
As for those specific courses, the ones I've taken are:
- Library Science – took 2-3 days
- Macroeconomics – took about a week
- Microeconomics – took 10-12 days
- College Composition II – took about a week including the papers
- Principles of Finance – took 10-12 days
- Digital Marketing – took about a week for the course and 2-3 days to complete the final project
Instead of Managerial Communication, I took:
- Business Communications – took about a week for the course plus a day to complete the three required papers
Obviously, every person gets through the material at a different rate, but getting through most of those courses in 2 weeks should be easily doable if you can put in 20-30 hours a week, and for the ones that take a bit more time they can be offset by the faster ones. Once you get into a groove, you'll find your pace accelerates too.

OK, I have adjusted my plan per suggestions that people gave. Thanks so much for all the insight.
My remaining question is: do 3 of my UL classes HAVE to be in EACH area of study? Right now, my UL classes are in Management and Marketing. Does that mean i can take a LOWER level accounting or finance class?
Here is my plan: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1...sp=sharing

No, the UL courses can all be in the same focus area or spread out. As long as you have 12 UL credits (in addition to the Capstone) between all the areas in any combination, that is all you need.
