Study.com just launched a new pricing structure. No required quizzes anymore, now unlimited courses per month.
$95 a month - College Starter
Access to all 67 General Education Courses. Can be enrolled in two at a time.
$235 a month - College Saver
Access to every course on the website, keep your progress if you take a break, and comes with an AI for every class. Can be enrolled in three at a time.
Some say the pricing isn't showing up on the website, and some are. Maybe let it marinate for a bit. I think you have to make an account first.

If I understand these changes correctly, it seems like they're trying to compete more directly with Sophia. Study.com has always been more work and more money, but the value proposition is almost identical now for the lower tier subscription.

That's the first thing I noticed too, the $95/month is going to compete with Sophia.org - pretty much head on. From reading the info, the $95/month plan is for lower level classes only (see link in post #3), if people are looking for the upper level credits, then it'll have to be the College Saver at $235/month.

I wonder if there are changes to the extra exam costs, I believe they'll keep it at $70/each extra exam. There is also a limit to taking 5 exams within a 30 day window. I always have more than 5 and that did delay my exams. The proctoring procedure makes so I can now use my office secured Network for testing. Before I was 1 test each Saturday at home and now I do 5 per month and have several done and working on papers. I was done last year but kept taking a few extra this year. I only have one ACE class left that is actually needed. Everything else is for personal development.

Wow, I had to read that a second time... There are no more $70/extra exam or a 5 final exam/month limit! It's going to be 2 at a time for starter and 3 at a time for saver... That means, if you're really quick, you can pay $95/month for lower level credits, and another $235/month for upper level credits, all you can consume! This is actually the real competition to Sophia.org now for lower level! Sophia.org and Study.com remains the combo I recommend...

Here's an interesting read on the FAQ, I've copy/pasted them here: https://support.study.com/support/soluti...1000022232
Especially this one - downgrade College Saver to College Starter: https://support.study.com/support/soluti...ge-starter-
Are you limited to a certain number of courses per month in College Starter and the updated College Saver?
You can take as many courses as you'd like each month. If you are in the College Starter plan, you are allowed to be active in two courses at the same time. If you are in the updated College Saver plan, you are allowed to be active in three courses at the same time
What is the impact of un-enrolling in a course if you are subscribed to the College Starter plan?
If a course already has course progress, un-enrolling in the course means the course progress is erased. If you re-enroll into the same course, you have to re-attempt the course’s requirements.
Can I switch into one of the new College level plans if I am an existing member?
At this time, you cannot switch into one of the new plans. You can cancel your current plan and re-create an account with a different email address but your progress will not be transferred.
Can I switch into one of the new College level plans if I was a past member?
At this time, you cannot switch into one of the new plans. You can create an account with a different email address but your past progress will not be transferred.
What is the difference between Starter and the updated College Saver product features?
The updated College Saver subscription offers:
- Access to all 220+ lower & upper division courses
- Ability to be active in and making progress in 3 courses at the same time
- Access to AI tutoring
- Access to human coaching and college planning services
- Course progress is retained when you unenroll in a course

Not to get political, but we're winning so much when it comes to online college, I'm almost getting tired of winning. Lol.
I think when Study.com dropped proctoring, this was their plan all along to lower the price and compete more effectively with SL and Sophia.

Oh wow, so not everything.
Btw for noobs, you need to go to this url first on Study.com
https://study.com/academy/course/index.html
Then select education level/college and goals/transfer credit/online college credit which will filter it down to 214 courses. Otherwise, it can be a pain to find courses. that are only college credit.

I need to cancel my current subscription to get a new one. Currently, I'm at a standstill due to maximum limits.
