Hi Everyone. I trust that you are well. Two questions.
I am enrolled for the Bsc in business through Excelsior, transferring 113 credits in. I am starting with the Cornerstone and Information Literacy course next Monday. Can anyone give me a heads up on how that course is (IND301 Cornerstone B Pathways)? How difficult is it? Round about how many hours should I look at dedicating to it weekly as I work full time. What is the general layout of the course?
Second question, I am finishing off my last upper level courses on study.com. I had enrolled for 5, wrote 2 exams and now it is asking me for $70 per additional exam? I thought being on the College saver plan meant you could complete up to 5 courses without any additional payment required? I emailed study.com two days ago but have not received a response as yet. Has anyone encountered that on the college saver plan?

When was your SDC account registered? If you registered before the launch of the College Saver program, please apply for a refund as soon as possible, provided that you haven't completed any courses or transferred credits. Then, register again with a new email address for your studies. I had a similar experience where customer service responded extremely slowly—it might take a week or even more than ten days. In the end, I couldn't get a refund, and $235 was wasted. Right now, I'm hiding in a corner, crying alone.

Study.com previously was $235/month and only 2 per month, each additional exam was $70, to a max of 3 extra exams. The new College Saver option is the same price, but unlimited exams, two at a time. You need to decide, to keep this account and pay for the extra class. Or, you will have to start a new College Saver account to reap the benefits if you have additional classes (more than 1).
In short, emailing support won't help as they can't switch you from old to new subscriptions, you need to start a new account. Decide, if $70 for the final class is what you need, or $235 for more than 5 classes if you can handle them that quickly. You can email them to make sure, but you also need to think about your decision due to the remaining class or classes you want to take.

Thanks for your response.
I created this account in April this year? Had they already launched this new college saver plan by then or they only launched it after April? I was doing my last 5 courses which would put me at 111 credits (besides the 7 that I am taking with Excelsior). So I wanted to take 2 or 3 extra courses for good measure in case there are issues with transferring the other courses

Yes, that's the time they rolled out the new subscription option, you are on the old subscription. Very easy, finish all you have at Study.com and send those credits into Excelsior. Create a new College Saver account, finish the final three or more classes (I would do more if you wanted to), and then you're done... Make sure your credits are all showing properly with Excelsior.

Basically, decide which route is best for you, taking 3 exams at $70 each, or a new account with my 10% off would be about the same price. If you're looking for a 10% discount, you can use the Study.com offer link on my bio or signature...

Hi fam
I am so confused now and need guidance.
As stated before I have earned 90 credits so far between Sophia and 3 from SDC
Here is a list of the credits I have earned from Sophia:
Business Data Analytics
Operations Management
English Comp 1
English Comp 2
Human Resource Management
Microbiology
Human Biology
Organizational Behaviour
Principles of Marketing
Introduction to Psychology
Principles of Management
Introduction to Information Technology
Project Management
Business law
Art History 1
Life Span Development
Managerial Accounting
Introduction to Business
Introduction to Ethis
Principles of Finance
Environmental Science
Financial Accounting
Introduction to Sociology
Art History 2
College Algebra
Business Ethics
Introduction to Statistics
Microeconomics
Macroeconomics
Introduction to Nutrition
From Study.com I have earned 3 credits so far (Logistics and Supply Chain Management completed)
In progress: Negotiations & Conflict Management (completed waiting for final result)
Advanced Operations Management (In progress)
Business Communication (In progress)
Union Labour Relations (In progress)
Globalization and International Management (completed waiting for final result)
I am really confused at this point. I have enrolled to Excelsior for the Bsc in Business Degree and didn't make use of the partner program because I am looking to only transfer in 113 credits.
I have also applied to UMPI but still waiting for feedback from the evaluation agency as I was considering the BABA in Management and Leadership since I work in the public sector? I was more driven to Excelsior because their Business program is also IACBE accredited. However from a price point UMPI seems more appealing.
I have adjusted my timeline a little and would like to be done by the end of this year, at least by November.
I've heard that a Bcs sounds nice on paper compared to a BA, is that true? Do employers care about that?
Can those who have done the BABA at UMPI confirm if they had been able to complete the remaining credits in a single term looking at what I have so far? How easy is their program to get through? How is it structured?
I want to get into a Masters Program straight after so considering the MAOL as advised on here or the MBA at HAU? Based on the above programs
Which program makes sense for someone who is just starting their career in the public sector?

Basically, I would re-read your previous thread and the information in this current thread and review what you need to do. Excelsior is a great choice, but, UMPI will fit your budget, ease, speed to finishing. I've mentioned many times before, you may have 113 credits transferred to Excelsior, but, the energy, money, time, will exceed that of UMPI in the long run even though you can transfer in 90 credits into the degree.
